This piece was inspired by my mother who is only afraid of one shadow within...The Void.
This is a fear I share as my grandmother was swallowed up by the chains of Alzheimer's and Dementia and we both fear the possibility of genetics being a part of it.
Inside of our own journeys with this shadow, we have both come to realize that how we live now is very important and we both take the opportunity to love as much as possible. In my meditation on the naming of this piece, it came to me in a flood of tears that Love would follow us because that is how we are living our lives. Thank you mom for being an amazing inspiration in my life. I love you.
