Artist's Description
Impact Art portraits are inspired by the Human Phoenix Project where the artist's inspirational muses allow themselves to be seen as messy, vulnerable humans through a letter to shadow aspects of themselves.
**Following is the Dear Shadow letter which inspires this specific work**

Of circumstance
Of childhood trauma
Of rape
Of domestic violence

By love
By action

Survivor
Like the phoenix from the ashes
I will rise
I will fly
No matter how many times I burn on my journey
I will continue to survive."
